cultivate your new experience

I want to know you!   About me   YogaWorks 200-hr Teacher Training Journey   Turn this blog into....The Music   ...The Movement   ...The Photos of Me   /Blog Roll   /Home Practice Space Photo Project   /Eats

a rough exploration of music, movement, and the soul- everything that I think is beautiful.

For the month of November, I am cutting all animal products out of my diet.
:)
Many people in my cooperative house are doing the same. Our house is already vegetarian, and we’ve been toying with the idea of moving more toward a completely vegan kitchen. We stopped buying cheese a few weeks ago, and the results were surprisingly positive!

What made me personally interested in trying this?
A couple things. Discovering Kris Carr and her book, Crazy Sexy Diet, a couple months ago was definitely the catalyst to speed it up.
But more importantly it’s been the people I’ve met since I’ve been living in Santa Barbara/ Isla Vista who are battling/ beat serious diseases by changing their lifestyle towards one similar to Kris Carr’s. I’ve been so unbelievably shaken and inspired by them and Kris Carr, that I feel like I need to do this. Just try. I’ll definitely write more on these specific wonderful human beings in future posts along my way.

I’m asking for your support! I follow quite a few vegans/rawfoodies, or those of you with vegan tendencies, and I would love any tips you feel like gifting me with along the way.
I’m also pledging to write a recap every day. Food logging is hard enough for me as it is, but I feel like I will want to write about it this month! I’ll be keepin’ it real (and so fresh and so clean), of course.

I’m really excited about this.
Much love, ya foodies!
