Taking Stock…

On my entire bus ride back from downtown Santa Barbara to Isla Vista, with the ocean on my left, I began to get the usual overwhelming feeling of gratitude. And it’s so easy on days like this…

And on my walk from the bus stop back to my house the feeling only grows. I see myself in 10 years looking back and reminiscing of the year, two years, three years, I got to spend living in Isla Vista. View of the ocean every single day, smell of the ocean every single day, sound of the ocean every single day. Biking around the streets getting this amazing sense that everything in this square little IV bubble is exactly where it should be and there’s a certain amount of extreme contentedness in the kids who live here, always.

It’s the little things, and it’s the big things. It’s the little things of the big things, and the big things of the little things. It’s everything, and the more I let myself ground down into this place and my new way of living, breathing, and moving every day, the more I understand how to live in every single moment. Sounds simple, right? And as a practicing yoga teacher you think I would have gotten this by now, but it’s a practice in itself every day. I’m so unbelievably grateful for where I live, because it forces me to wake up and be like “LOOK! HELLO! Wake up!! Look where you are!!”

I got home to my co op, grabbed some homemade kombucha and kale chips I threw into the dehydrator last night and climbed up onto our chicken coop (the one with that^ view I always post on here) and just… sat. And took some pics of course :)

My kale chips in a sprouted bread bag…

Lil’ Cheezay! Next time I make these, I’ll put my perfected cheezey kale chips recipe up.

Endless love and throwing out good vibrations (today’s giving me the excitations)
