Good article on a phenomenon that you might not think about as a student or a student in a teacher training, or as a new teacher. It definitely happens. I wish I’d read this 6 months ago!
When I think of my favorite teachers and mentors, I think of how “alive” their personal practice is. And I know this not because I know how often they practice or what their practice looks like (because I actually don’t, not at all!). It shows through them when they teach! It shines out of them and into the space. Always.
People have asked me what makes a “great” yoga teacher- and that’s along the lines of what I say. The practice is very very very much alive in them every day.
